Overcoming Obstacles to Build a Stable Home
Mr. Davis is a middle-aged widower with two teenage daughters. He suffers from serious health issues, and has become totally blind over the past several years. With this disability, he could no longer perform his job. The last straw was an eviction notice for failing to pay his rent.
Without housing assistance, he and his daughters would have been evicted with nowhere to go. With housing support, they remained stable throughout the 11 month process that was required to begin receiving disability services. Housing support created a sense of stability and the practical means to provide security for his daughters. He remains stable to this day.
